These observations can then be exported via an interface which allows the data to be imported into Hanson IMS software that is currently used throughout New Zealand by City & District Councils.
We are now offering this pipe scoring service to Councils wishing to set up their asset management databases, and to all Companies undertaking pipe video survey work.
The CCTV video inspection unit inspects sewers, stormwater drains, and other pipes.
We operate an Isuzu 2.8 diesel CCTV truck fitted with a 240 volt generator for powering the camera and recording system, mounted in the rear of the truck.
.The unit runs one of three colour cameras that are "Pearpoint" compatible that can film pipes from 100mm to 950mm    diameter to a length of 200 metres.
There is also a deep-water camera for filming wells and bores.
In 1997  due to innovations in CCTV technology we expanded our operation to include the computer analysis of pipe survey videotapes, that enables us to produce in-depth reports covering all details of pipes surveyed.
Pipes are scored in accordance with the NZ Pipe Inspection Manual using sophisticated computer software, which is capable of storing header information, observations (which have customised codes) and colour photographs, which are all linked into databases.
